Summer has come to a close. Classes started yesterday and it looks like my life will be filled with fewer adventures. The past few weeks have been weaning me of my summer play habits anyway. My roommate and I have been de-cluttering and painting our house (yes, we received permission from our landlady first and are receiving reimbursement for paint costs). We've worked hard and been resourceful. We've spent hours emptying out drawers and closets filled with things previous students had left behind.
Last weekend she and I went to a football game with some friends and realized it was the first Friday in nearly a month that we hadn't been working on some sort of project (the only time the house wasn't involved found us helping set up for a wedding reception). However, we expect that we'll be working on the house again this Friday night and we've both been looking forward to it. If all goes well, we'll be able to finish up painting the bathroom and the trim throughout the whole house. Woohoo!

I'm glad you get to paint your place. Painting can be fun, but after a while it can get old, too.
